Description ‘Salvation Alley’, ‘School and the Dead’ and ‘Teens from Hell’ are 3 short films written, filmed and edited by young people participating in the Hi8us South 10 week filmmaking initiative - Poplar Film School. Pinny Grylls lead the young people aged 12-15 through 3 x 10 week long workshops each resulting in a short film. The first produced ‘Salvation Alley’ was premiered at the London Children’s Film Festival in November 2005. The film is a terrifying tale of ouija boards and instant messaging. Who is the mysterious ‘MM’, why does he want Mandy to go back to the alley? Dare you find out? Click the link to see the film.
